How to Root Using Magisk without PC Android rooting has come a long way over the years, but it’s still not as easy as it should be. There are many different ways to root an Android device and most of them require PC software of some kind, which can complicate things and lead to mistakes in the rooting process. Now there’s another way to root your Android smartphone or tablet that’s easier than ever – and no PC is required.

How to Root Using Magisk without PC

What is Magisk?

Magisk is a Systemless Interface. Magisk doesn’t really do anything, it just allows you to use custom things without breaking SafetyNet (among other things). The name Magisk comes from magic mask, since it’s hiding root from apps that don’t support root. This can also hide custom modifications to your system partition without hiding it completely. It does not work on any devices with SafetyNet Checking enabled by default.

Step 1: Download Magisk Installer app

The first step is easy—just download Magisk and install it on your phone (it’s a tool that lets you root Android without having to use custom recovery). You can download it from APKMirror if you’re unable to do so from your device.

Step 2: Enable USB Debugging on your device.

Open Settings > About Phone > Tap on Build Number several times until you get a new Developer Options in Settings. Now open Developer Options and enable USB Debugging Mode.

Step 3: Boot into TWRP recovery.

As we all know TWRP is a popular custom recovery for Android devices. It replaces stock recovery on your device, which makes it possible to flash third-party zips and root your device using Magisk. Follow our guide carefully if you wish to achieve root access on your Android smartphone or tablet using TWRP.

Step 4: Flash Magisk zip file.

Download Magisk.zip from Here and move it to your device. Now boot into TWRP Recovery mode and take a complete backup (Recommended). Wipe system, cache, data using TWRP Recovery for safety. After wipe process completes, click on Install button > Choose Magisk zip file > Swipe right to flash magisk.zip file in recovery mode. After flashing magisk done reboot your device and enjoy rooted access without pc.

Step 5: Reboot.

After rooting, you’ll need to reboot your device. Although some apps may still not work after, it’s necessary for everything else. I suggest you close all applications before rebooting.

Conclusion.

Magisk is a great alternative to SuperSU. It’s simpler and easier to use, but most importantly, it isn’t being updated as much.
